Hey all *waves*
What’s this? Two posts in two days! Yes. 😁 I mean to get yesterday’s post done sooner, but didn’t. And I also wanted to get this one out ASAP. 😜
A new year, a new month and time for another TBR post!
Also I’m trying something new and if you click the book covers they should lead you to their goodreads page.
- Read 1 Physical book and 1 Digital book from my shelves
- Read 5 books this month
Reading Goal for 2020
This year I aim to read 60 books. I chose this goal because I figure I usually read roughly 4-5 books a month. 5 x 12 = 60.
Scythe by Neil Shusterman
I’ve wanted to read Scythe for awhile. I’ve heard great things about it. But honestly my main reason for wanting to read it now is that I know that the next game of the bookish games is going to be based on Scythe.
Let It Go by Jen Calonita
I saw this around the time I was hyped up and really looking forward to seeing Frozen II. I haven’t read any of the Twisted Tales before, but I thought it sounded interesting.
Invisible by DelSheree Gladden
Invisible is to fit my goal of a readathon off myself.
I decided to choose one book from my bookshelf and one from my kindle app to read for #StartOnYourShelfathon for January. I don’t know if I will do this for all months. It will depend I think on mood and what I feel like reading mostly.
The Selection by Kiera Cass
I bought this late last year and read it all in one day on the 2nd of January. Half of it I read at the beach. So 1 book complete for the year so far. 😀
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
I’ve been waiting for this one. I had it on hold while it was on order and now I’m 3rd in line and it’s on it’s way to my local branch. I’ve been hearing pretty good things and am excited to read it.
In saying that I plan to read at least these 5 books. I also borrowed three books from the library yesterday while browsing. Each time I return books I can’t help but browse the shelves. But I am going to go through the above books first before I move onto these three.
- The Wrong Boy by Suzy Zail
- A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
- The Protected by Claire Zorn
Along with how many books I read I hope to start reviewing more on my blog. It’s something I’ve wanted to do more but then I doubt my reviews and never post them. So here’s to a new year!
What about you? Have you set a yearly goal? What books are you planning to read this January? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment below.
