That Word is a segment where I will be posting a new word each week. They are words that I’ve newly discovered or words I’ve known but wanted to be more thorough in knowing the meaning. This could be for you writer’s like myself looking carefully into the words we use or it could be for those people who are just interested in all kinds of different words. No matter which one you are, this post is for you. This week’s word is…
Where I Discovered It
Either I remembered this word to categorise under feelings and emotions or I read it somewhere and came under the sudden realisation that I wanted to share it with you all. I don’t exactly remember which.

The expression on her face more than answered the elation she had in this moment of her life.
No one could stop the elation he was feeling as he watched the project take off with success.
I like this word. I think it is a good word to use to describe a moment when you feel like you on top of the world with happiness. I feel like it’s a word that should be a used a little more. It’s not uncommon, but not used often either. Maybe that’s part of why I feel so drawn to it at this very moment.
As long as you know how to pronounce the suffix of the word which is not sounded how it’s spelt I think it is a fairly straightforward word.
What do you think? Have you heard or used Elation before? What do you think of it? Do you think you would use it in the future? Please feel free to tell me your thoughts in the comments.
