Monthly Recap: November 2017

It’s that time of month again where I share what’s been going. It’s hard to believe it’s almost at the end of November already.

General Life

Novembers been a little busy as the school year has drawn to a close. I’ve been busy studying for exams and then the exams themselves and it’s both bitter and sweet now that they’re over. I’ve officially finished grade 12 and now just have to wait.

It’s also getting hotter here in Australia as summer approaches. Where I am we’ve had the hottest November in a long time. It’s not fun.

I went and saw Thor Ragnarok at the movies with a friend just this week. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but also can’t wait for Avengers Infinity War. I think it’s going to be epic.

Writing

November to many writers is also known as National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWrimo or NaNo for short). The main aim is to write a novel in a month or at least 50,000 words, but you can be a rebel and aim for your own goal too. Even though I had exams I still chose to attempt it this year and surprised myself for how well I was able to do. I will have a post about it coming up early December.

This month I also came up with a new story idea that has been bugging me. I am working on planning it out and developing characters as well as the world while I focus on this other story. It is little bit painful when new stories first come because they to strive for your attention while you are writing another story.

Books Read

It’s been a quiet month of reading where I have only read Fruits Basket volume 6 and 7. However I am in the middle of reading at least two other books.

Books Currently/About to read

This Changes Everything by Jaquelle Crowe ( I need to get my but into gear and finish the last chapter)

Eragon by Christopher Paolini Inheritance Cycle #1

Fairest by Marissa Meyer the Lunar Chronicles #3.5

Also I found King’s Folly finally. It’s been missing for ages and was in the oddest of placed. I found it on top of the lid of the container where I put some of my school stuff from last year. After I read some other books I plan to get into it again.

Jumbled Thoughts

I missed my writerly post this month due to exams but have managed to still bombard you with That Word posts due to scheduling ahead. Now that school’s over for the year I hope to write more regularly till the new year. I will possibly take a little break then however I’m still tossing back and forth whether I will or not. But I am definitely working on a new segment that has been on my mind for a while that I am eager to share with you. It will be introduced in the new year.

That Word 5 Hent

That Word 6: Corsair

Book Series I need to finish Part 1

That Word 7: ruth

That Word 8: Jimp/Gimp

How has your month been? Have you done anything exciting or out of the ordinary? Feel free to tell me in the comments.
